Welder Qualification registers are maintained on our platform to ensure the upkeep of 6-month revalidations are met.

Accurate Pressure vessel / Plant – registers are available on our system to ensure statutory inspections are completed prior to expiry dates and hold the information required for repeatability of accurate inspections.

Site Equipment assets such as 12-week, 24 week and 48-week strategy inspections can be maintained on HQ NDT & INSPECTION PTY LTD registers.
Non-destructive testing methods — magnetic particle and liquid penetrant inspection

    NON-DESTRUCTIVE TESTING

    Magnetic Particle Inspection:
Used to identify defects on the surface (and shallow subsurface) of ferromagnetic materials. The process works by applying a magnetic field to the area, by either direct or indirect magnetization. To identify if any indications are present, ferrous particles are applied to the area and are attracted to any magnetic flux leaks. Any indications are evaluated according to given standards and/or client requirements.

    Liquid Penetrant Inspection:
Liquid penetrant inspection is a versatile and sensitive method used to find surface-breaking defects in all non-porous materials, including ceramics and plastics.

    Visual Inspections | Welding Inspection:

Visual inspection is our first line of defence, all our technicians undergo recurrent visual acuity tests. We utilise multiple tools of the trade such as inspection cameras, video scopes, Gauges and mirrors to ensure every aspect of your equipment is safeguarded. Our certified team can identify high-stress zones and crucial areas of inspection and recommend whether any supplementary inspection methods are required. Preservice examinations are done on new fabrications using various NDT methods for finding defects as per client request or as per standard requirements. In-service examinations are carried out after equipment/ assets have been commissioned using various NDT methods to extend the life of your assets as part of the given preventative maintenance regime.

    Ultrasonic Inspections:

Ultrasonic testing can be used in a multitude of ways to find any subsurface defects or to accurately determine the thickness of an object. We only use the best industry equipment and have our finger on the pulse when it comes to:

    • Phased Array
    • Castings
    • Welds
    • Corrosion mapping
    • Thickness
    • Forgings (e.g. Shaft and pins)

    Welding Supervision

Welding supervision in Australia involves overseeing welding operations to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards.

Key responsibilities include ensuring welding work meets specified standards, promoting a safe working environment, improving productivity, providing technical guidance, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards. Welding supervisors also identify skill gaps within the team and facilitate training and development opportunities.

They act as liaisons between management, engineering, and the welding team, fostering communication and collaboration to achieve project goals.
